There are some things about this work I think it's worth taking note of by the listener before delving into the audio files given here.

Firstly, we need to consider the source for the vocals. Is this Aleister Crowley, whose voice we know and love from the 1910-1914 wax cylinder recordings? There are some specific considerations we must examine to determine if this could be possible. The first is, if this could be Crowely, are these recordings from later in his life? Are there possibly other "lost" recordings? On the other hand, if this is not Crowley, then we are dealing with an imposter who can imitate not only Crowley's thick British accent, but can also sufficiently pronounce Enochian. Here is a link to my own site's hosted version of the bittorrent file from which I found the vocals for the majority of these tracks, the remainder being from the wax cylinder recordings: EnochianSource.torrent.

Secondly, we need to consider the style of the music. This style had to reflect a theme of distinctly "Enochian" nature. However, how can we depict a soundscape equal to the challenge of presenting a vista-scape of these, supposedly, "Fallen Angels" from times before the flood? To represent the times before the flood, I chose to use music of a more "alien" or "strange" sound, lyrics that were specifically addressed to the subject or character of "angelology," and were, most importantly, mournful, for such as are the Nefilim described in the Apocryphal Old Testament Book of Enoch. These Grigori, or Annunaki, meaning "Watchers," were those who "bred with the wives of men" before the flood, and begat a race of "giants, men of renkown" who were the pantheon of Atlantis. In the Book of Enoch they are described as "weeping mournfully."

Thirdly, we must consider some background material to this ceremonial ritual. We can begin by asking, Who was Enoch? Enos was a pre-deluvial, that is, "Atlantean," Hebrew patriarch descended from Seth, son of Adam, was known as Enoch for the city he governed, the capitol of the 1 of 10 Atlantean provences local to the region of the fertile crescent. The second personage we encounter the need to consider specifically is John Dee. Who was John Dee? Dee was an Elisabethan English astrologer and the first Agent 007 on Her Majesty's Secret Service. He invented the complex "Enochian" system of magick by a method called "skrying." This method was also being used at the same time as Dee by Nostradamus in France to write his prophetic Quatraines. Finally, we have to pause to ask, who was Aleister Crowley, our earst-while narrator through this ceremony? Called "To Mega Therion," meaning "the Great Beast," Crowley was a 20th century magician who studied the "Enochian" magick of John Dee when he was initiated into the Golden Dawn magical cult. Enoch saw these "angels," Dee wrote of how to summon them, and Crowley invoked them on these audio recordings. I have added music.

Fourth, and finally, we should look at this series of recordings as, themselves, a ritual magickal ceremony. Let the listener think of these songs as the audio recordings of a ceremony whose visual component lies within the landscape of the domain of the imagination. So, please, clear your mind, and allow yourself to enter this experience as if it were a ritual working, meant to summon the angels of Enoch.

"first consecration of the working-space" (3.2 MB)

To begin the ritual of invoking the "Enochian" angels of John Dee we begin by consecrating the "working-space" or "Temple" (the space between your ears). To this end we begin with a song to invoke an "Enochian" angel, superimposed with a call to prayer by the Catholic Pope. By fusing contrasting opposites into a comprehensive synthesis, we seek to "cleanse" the "aura" and allow the ego to dissolve into nirvana. The song summoning the angel is "The Enochian Angel Of The 7th Aethyr," by David J. w/ Alan Moore & Tim Perkins, distributed on the Goth Box, disc 4/H. The call to prayer is a "Pater Noster (E Quia Tuum Est Regnum)" delivered by Pope John Paul II.

"Enochian key 00 (Enochian)" (364 KB)

Aleister Crowley, in dual-stereo, delivers the invokation that commences the Enochian ceremony in the Enochian language. The sound of thunder and the FX of the THX sound-imaging system accompany him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Equinox (Enochian)" (4.4 MB)

Originally from my earlier album, ONE, this track is Aleister Crowley, with echo, reading the First and Second Enochian Ayres in the Enochian language. Accompanied by a song from "Wings of Desire" involving angels chanting, and two songs from the movie, "the Truman Show." I have run the song through chorus and flanger for this re-mix.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Enochian key 1-11 (Enochian)" (18.5 MB)

In this track, Aleister Crowley recites the first through eleventh calls of the 30 aethyrs in the Enochian language. To accompany this are mixed three tracks. Two of them are sequential, and the third is continuous throughout. The first and second, in sequential order, are, first, the song "Abyss" by the group Tangerine Dream, from the soundtrack to the movie "Sorcerer;" and second, the song "Into the Center" by New Age composer Constance Demby from her album "Set Free." The third track, played continuously behind the others, at a lower volume that is, is the song "Warszwawa" from the "Low" symphony, by classical "minimialist" composer Phillip Glass, producer Brian Eno, and rock virtuoso David Bowie.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Enochian key 00 (English)" (272 KB)

Aleister Crowley commences the invokation of the Enochian ceremony in English. Again, accompanying him are the sound of thunder and the THX-FX.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Autumn (English)" (884 KB)

Originally from my earlier album, ONE, this track is Aleister Crowley calling the First and Second Enochian Ayres in English, mixed with the song "the kiss" from the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack by Trevor Jones. I added forwards and reverse echo on this remixed edition.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Enochian key calls 1-11 (English)" (12 MB)

Aleister Crowley delivers the Enochian invokation for the calls to keys one through eleven of the thirty Ayres, in English. To accompnay this track, are added the song "Haunted" by the band "Type O Negative," distributed on the soundtrack to the movie the "Blair Witch Project;" as well as the songs "Shohmyoh" and "Tetsuo" from the soundtrack to the Japanese animation movie "Akira," composed and conducted by Geinoh Yamashirogumi.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"final consecration of the working-space" (8.5 MB)

Originally released on my earlier album ORB, under the title "soft." An olde Goth song, "The Temple" by a band (I shit you not) called "Golden Dawn," available on an arcane collection called "Doom & Gloom: Visions Of The Apocalypse," mixed over top of a track by Krishna Das from a collection called "Blast From the Future." Like a broken clock, these two rhthyms synch up twice every one time 'round.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"the Gnostic Pentagram of Dee and Crowley" (5.6 MB)

The band "Therion" performs their opera-metal hit, "To Mega Therion" live, from their album "Crowning of Atlantis," while Aleister Crowley explains some of the finer points of the Enochian invokation ceremony.
