"Harmonica Exodus" (1.7 MB)

This charming little number starts off with a sample of some Dj turntable-scratching of a looped sample. The song dropping in following this short sample is a combination of the song "Exodus" by Pat Boone and "The Man With the Harmonica," by Ennio Morricone from the soundtrack to the "spaghetti western" film "Once Upon a Time in the West." The sample at the very end of the track is from the conclusion to a speech delivered in 1944 by Adolf Hitler.

"Western Spooks and Radio Shadows" (3.7 MB)

This track combines a live performance of an unreleased song called "Spooks" by the world's best band, Radiohead, with a riff by lesser known band, The Shadows, called "Western Guitar."

"JFK" (6.8 MB)

This track provides a somewhat abreviated version of past-President John Kennedy's retrospectively prophetic speech to the assembled press corps about political conspiracies in an "open and free society," combined with the musical themes "Arlington" and "Theme Reprise" conducted by composer John Williams for Oliver Stone's film "JFK."

"what was going on in the 60's" (2.2 MB)

This track combines a brief diatribe by Danny Sugarman, former manager of the past Greatest Band Ever, the Doors, with a live performace by the Doors of the songs "Five to One," "Dead Cats, Dead Rats," and "Break On Through to the Other Side."

"911" (4.9 MB)

This track begins with a sound effect of church bells tolling, followed by the swearing-in ceremony for our 43th President, George Walker Bush. As he completes his oath, a sound montage begins meant to mimic the sounds on the day of 9-11-2001; however, this montage includes three sounds we specifically did not hear that morning: 1) the sound of the jet prior to impact; 2) the sound of a backdraft, as an explosion rushes in to fill the vacuum created by the impact of he plane prior to the ignition of the jet fuel; 3) a first responder pulling up on the scene almost immediately after the first impact. Over top of this sound montage we hear Bush's subsequent description of his place in events on that morning. This is the infamous "terrible pilot" comment.

Following this is interjected a chanted refrain from the song "Bin Laden" which combines the voices of both priemiere rapper Immortal Technique, who originally wrote the song in collaboration with producer Greenlantern, and reknowned hip-hop guru KRS One, who remixed the song featuring fellow underground rapper Chuck D. According to this chanted refrain, "Bin Laden didn't blow up the projects; Bush knocked down the Towers."

After this interlude, the remainder of the vocals on this track are delivered by President George W. Bush, and are compiled from his three different speeches given to assembled media on the morning, noon, and evening of 9-11. Those parts which he repeated in each speech were omitted, but all the rest of what he said has been included.

During President Bush's initial "moment of silence," at Booker Elementary School, we hear the haunting tones of the apocryphal opera from the "portal" scene in the film "Donnie Darko" mixed with the looped instrumental beat from the trak "Stat Quo," produced by Dr. Dre and Scott Storch. Following this is a loop by DJ Thirty-Seven, the alter-ego of Vermont-based emcee Wombaticus Rex, mixed with the song "Cole Remembers" from the soundtrack to the film "Twelve Monkeys." These two mixes alternate for the remainder of President Bush's speech from, and this continues on throughout Bush's subsequent, noon-address from Barksdale AirForce Base in Alabama, and well into his televised evening address to the people. The final note of the track returns us to the tolling church bells.
